Pennells Garden Centre Charity Open Evening - 6th December 2011
My demonstration of 3 different Christmas designs and 1 spring design at the Pennells Open Evening Charity Event. A really lovely and busy evening with carols and other festivities all over the store. The arrangements where included in the raffle at the end of the evening and have hopefully gone to loving homes!!

Christmas Floral Workshop 9th December 2011
A very successful and enjoyable evening creating a Christmas Door Wreath and Table Centre Design using a pillar candle. Everyone had alot of fun creating their designs and were very proud of their achievements as it was everyone's first attempt at making anything floral. Everyone's designs were individual and unique to them although all the work used a really colourful and wide range of foliages to create good texture and interest. Some used fresh flowers within their table centre designs whilst others used some artificial decorations to mix within the foliages, a touch of sparkle was added at the end with the help of glitter to achieve very festive and beautiful arrangements.

Pennells Garden Centre - Christmas Inspired Demonstration 1st November 2011
A very enjoyable evening in which I demonstrated four designs all with a festive theme. The stage setting had been created by Pennells and looked wonderful, giving the large audience a good view of all the designs as they where being made. A festive mince pie and refreshments where served in the restaurant at the interval and this also gave people a chance to have a chat to me about the designs and materials that I had used aswell as a chance to purchase items throughout the store making use of the 10% discount on offer that evening. This will be the first of many demonstrations and workshops to take place at Pennells continuing into 2012 the next demo's being held throughout their Charity Open Evening on 6th December.

Floral Design Workshops
Floral Workshops are available throughout the year for half day classes
Please email petalsdesigns@btinternet.com for more details of forthcoming events and workshops.
Floral Workshops are a chance to get together with other flower lovers to create your own designs set to a theme. Mechanics are supplied so all you will need to bring along with you are your choice of flowers and foliage and scissors suitable to cut plant material. I can order floristry scissors should you wish to have a pair to keep for any future workshops.
These half day workshops can also be tailored to your needs and are an ideal opportunity for friends to get together to create Mother's Day arrangements or for Wedding arrangements (min 10 persons)
