The Snowdrop

The Snowdrop is the first sign of new life and in the Language of Flowers has a meaning of Hope and Consolation.
It is a sign that the winter is fading away and the hope that Spring is around the corner and will soon be with us.......

"I have come to calm your fears; to console you in the absence of bright days and to reassure you of their return"

The Victorians would give a gift in the shape of a Snowdrop to a friend
who had suffered a loss...to give them hope and consolation.....

The meaning of flowers was a popular Victorian way to show your feelings and send messages
